How to Build and Operate A Router Lathe

Page 3

The Completed Jig
The four patterns are mounted on a base of 3/4 plywood.  The outside patterns were offset from the inner ones and separated by 3/4 inch.

The Router Base

The router base was made with 4 pins, two pointing in, and two pointing out.  These pins keep the router base level as it traverses the patterns.  The pins are separated by the offset distance.   The plywood supports have to be tall enough so that the blank will spin without hitting the router base.
